Tarea
(Homework)

Our homework routine will officially begin in October. Your child will bring home a plastic take home folder each night with important information from school. On Monday your child will bring home two books (one English and one Spanish) that they will keep at home until Friday. Please have them read the books with you throughout the week and send the books back to school on Friday. Your child should be prepared to read the books to a friend on Friday, when they return them to school. Please don't spend more than 15 minutes on reading homework each night. We know families are busy and we want you to be able to do other important things together like playing outside and eating dinner together. Of course, feel free to read other books with your child throughout the week as you would like.
Notes from us or the office and corrected work will be sent home in your child's plastic folder. Please read and keep or recycle them. If we have pt a stamp or a sticker on the page, it's yours to keep! Feel free to communicate with us by sending notes back to school in the take-home folder, as we will check them in each morning.
